Hello String Families!
Online learning can be a challenge when you're dealing with string instruments. For now here is what I recommend:
Beginning Strings
-Each day pluck and bow 2 songs that we have worked on: Closet Key, Squirrel, Snail, Hot Cross Buns
-Focus on smooth tone and good posture. You can see the instrument posture tab for reminders.
Advanced Strings
-You know how to tune. I recommend the free tuner "Tuner Lite" or Violin Multi-Tuner GooglePlay store or purchase one through Amazon (Korg CA1 or CA2)
-Each day do the following:
1. Tune
2. Play either G or D Major Scale
3. Choose a slur exercise from your p.29 in your strings book
4. Choose 5 measures of a concert song to clean-up OR District Strings music if you are in that group
5. Play what you worked on for a parent
I will email or call you to check in, so feel free to write down any questions you have for when I contact you:) Good luck!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Stanek
